Emily Shumate has been practicing massage and bodywork therapy since 1998. Between 1998 and 2007 she contracted with multiple physician and chiropractic offices within Wilmington providing medical massage therapy services, physical therapy aide services and chiropractic assisting, while maintaining a private practice within an alternative medicine co-op.
Although Emily’s main focus is massage therapy she is also a graduate of Miller Motte College and has worked in dermatology and plastic surgery offices before settling in to orthopaedics for the last 14 years as a clinical assistant.
